Trusting God and Changing my Attitude

August 6, 2011

It’s a lesson life keeps teaching me over and over again.  TRUST in GOD

Circumstances are temporary.  They can literally change over night.  We go through seasons in life.  They change.  One season ends and whether we are ready for the new season or not it is upon us.  I would love to say that I face every changing season and circumstance in my life with the spirit of adventure.  I don’t.  Typically, it’s with a little insecurity and a lot of attitude.  The Holy Spirit of God is my attitude adjuster.  He gently comforts me.  His comfort  shows me the way to trust again.  As I turn my wild emotions over to trust, God restores peace in my heart.  True perspective is gained through the eyes of trusting in the One who never changes.  Leading to hope.  And hope in God never disappoints.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust him

so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

I love this post, and boy did I need it today. Been listening to a few lies in my head today, going through a season of change and I am just a bit insecure about a few things right now.

“His comfort shows me the way to trust again. As I turn my wild emotions over to trust, God restores peace in my heart.”

What I’m doing today, turning my “wild emotions” over to Him.
    Amen

One thing is certain. Life is all about change. Trying to navigate change without trusting in Him leads to so much pain and so much heartache. With Christ, change leads us victory with every step. He brings purpose to our pain and peace in the midst of our stress. Great post!
