Unity is Like Pancake Mix and Water

July 7, 2011

Have you ever made pancakes?

The kind that is straight from the box (just add water)?

It seems simple enough but have you ever tried to make those pancakes without adding the water?  It’s just pancake mix.  Water without the mix is just water.  Put them together and mix them until they are completely combined and together they will make pancakes.

Unity is like that.  The word unity actually means to combine different parts to make one.

When Jesus prayed for us, (John 17: 20-21) unity was the very first thing that He prayed for.  Something to think about.

Jesus desires us to come together, mixing our diverse giftings to create something beautiful for His purpose.  When the world sees the love and beauty found in our unity it will inspire faith to give glory to God.

Loving each other and embracing our differences is very important!

Imagine the impossible becoming a reality when we combine our unique qualities with one another.

Enjoy life by loving each other today.  And watch the beauty unfold!
