Oh Precious is the Flow…

January 27, 2011

Oh precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow… nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Ephesians 1:7  In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

He died that we might live.  The crown placed on His head was of thorns that we might receive an eternal crown of jewels.  He was beaten, bruised and crucified…we are forgiven and redeemed by His precious blood.

He took on himself our condemnation that we could be free from our sinful nature.  It was our sins that nailed him to the cross and His blood that gives hope.  The beauty of Christianity is found in the amazing grace of God.  He removed the guilt of our sin so that we could be near Him through the blood of Jesus.

Ephesians 2:13  But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

We can have a daily relationship with God because Jesus shed His blood for us.  Everyday we can wake up knowing that the grace of God is with us, over us and in us because of the blood of Jesus.  God’s promise to never leave us or forsake us is available to us through the blood of Jesus.  What a tremendous blessing to know that God is with us.  Our personal revelation of sin should be the catalyst to propel us to a greater revelation – We. Need. God. Which leads us to discover that God has fulfilled our need by bringing us near to Him through the blood of Christ.  If God is with us, who can be against us?  The obvious answer is no one.  There is none greater than our God.  When God, Himself  is with you every step of your day; confidence, peace and protection accompany our way.

Hebrews 9:14  How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

Not only does God forgive us through the blood of Christ, but He cleanses our consciences giving us the ability to forgive ourselves.  With a clean slate we can face our life knowing that our past truly doesn’t dictate our future.  We are free.  We use our spiritual freedom to wake up everyday and ask God to help us serve Him.

May my daily prayer always be…. Thank you Lord for the blood of Jesus, my forgiveness and your presence with me always.  Lord help me to live this life, to be a better person, show me Lord how to love people and teach me how to help people – to whole-heartedly serve you with my life because I know that my redemption came at a very high cost.  Thank you Jesus.

A Holy Experience

    Danise,
You will touch many hearts with this post, dear daughter. Your words are true, transparent and encouraging. What a beautiful picture! HIS Crown of thorns with the red flower representing HIS Blood, the Rock of our foundation, surrounded by Hope and Faith; the green of new beginnings and growth in HIM.
    I love you, Mom
