Tuesday’s Tips ~ Hand of Hope for Haiti

We have all seen the devastating photos and have been deeply moved to compassion for the those suffering in Haiti.  With all the hospitals collapsed, many are still in desperate need of medical attention.  Hand of Hope of Joyce Meyer’s Ministries is working together with Love a Child  and recently sent 19,000 pounds of medical supplies, including a portable X-ray machine, 2 orthopedic surgeons and an ER physician.

Ways You Can Help:

  • Pray fervently for everyone affected by the earthquake
  • Donate financially. By supporting financially you can bring immediate relief to those suffering.
  • Donate medical supplies. (mail a care package with much need items)

List of items needed:

Blankets, Sheets – used or new, Mats to lay on, Drapes, Bottled water, Non-perishable foods, Sandals or flip-flops, Toiletry sacks (containing a washcloth, soap, tooth brush, tooth paste, deodorant), Large T-shirts, Small tents, Gauze – any size, but preferably 4X4, Dressings – sterile and unsterile, (Coban, Tegaderm, Steri-strip, Surgilast), Sutures, Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment, Ace bandages (or anything specifically for wound care), Ibuprofen, Oral rehydration salts, Betadine wipes and sticks

Please print your name, address and phone number on a piece of paper and place it inside each box sent.
