The Power of a Young Woman’s Testimony

November 1, 2009

daisyMy eyes were filled with tears as I listened to a powerful testimony of a beautiful young woman today.  She began by saying, “I am twenty years old and I used to be a drug addict.”  She continued to explain the five-year battle with drugs, that included 20 foster care homes, 17 different high schools, 5 rehabs, a sober living home that wasn’t exactly “sober living”, jail and finally homelessness on skid row.  Which is where the Dream Center found her, clothed her, fed her, housed her and shared the encouragement and hope of Christ with her.

After all of that, there she was this morning a beautiful, vibrant, sober young women working on her GED with hopes of college in her near future!  Her ending statement was simply this, “There isn’t anything God can’t do!”

There really is nothing that God can’t do!!   🙂
